What is DECT?
According to Wikipedia.org, DECT is a radio technology for voice data. It is a standard primary used in creating cordless phone system, replacing the previously used 900 MHz cordless phone standard. It uses time division multiple access (TDMA) to transmit radio signals to phones. DECT 6.0 digital technology is using similar technology but slight variation in term of frequency range.
Why Security Features Are Important?
Apart from clarity, it is important that the voice transmission between both baby monitor units are private and secured. Units that are not having digital security technology can be easy hacked and taken over. It then allow hackers to spy upon babies and scare them. “Wake Up Little Boy, Daddy’s Looking For You,” says psycho Voyeur after hacking baby monitor.
